Yourself: The Banana Leaf

July 8, 2015

“You act like it’s you against the world, but it’s really just you against yourself.”

Either not all happiness or success  is in your hand.
Sometimes, you crave for something beyond you wanted, but your strength isn’t enough to move forward. Doing your best won’t be fine if the plan isn’t yours. And even how you wake up early in the morning or how you go to sleep late at night just to prove that you are worth for that place, but it would just turn you down.

The more you run, the more you lost your mind.
Knowing that there is no place for you to go. The way is not so clear despite you’re doing everything to make it clear. Though, you are hoping for someone to lean on, yet no one would dare to offer you. And you know that a hug is the only extension to lessen your pain. But, even a hug is not for free. You need to beg and ask for it, because deep inside you, no one feels the same way you feel.

Your tear drops might be your other way of pain reliever while your heart is aching for your time.
It’s another story might be. Sometimes, you forget that you already put yourself down just for giving your best. But then again, at the end, you can’t please everyone. The question is… why those people expect you to be on the top, in fact, they don’t even allow you  to show your capability either? They don’t even give you any chances to prove your worth. How could you believe yourself, if it isn’t enough? Nevertheless, it isn’t about them at all, but it’s about YOURSELF,  who is your greatest ENEMY and you can’t conquer unless you don’t accept and believe within.

Well, so much for that drama, let me share one of the best Thai restaurant I’ve ever been, The Banana Leaf  located at G/L, The Terraces at Ayala Center Cebu, Cebu City. They serve delighst of Asean food such as from the taste of Malaysian, Singaporean, Thai, Indian, Vietnamese, and Indonesian cuisine.

Here we go:

“Philppine Tatler”
Philippines’ Best Restaurant 2011
The chow!
Malayan seafood laksa
Tilapia fillet with assam sambal sauce
Stir fried Chinese kangkong woth sambal sauce
Sago pudding in Thai pandan leaf
Ops! I forgot: we also ordered green Mango shake.
